Learn about the conversations and lessons that students have been a part of which are supporting healthy choices when navigating an online world. They will be sharing information about a recent technology survey completed by Grade 3, 4 & 5 students, discussing the impacts of technology use on students and sharing parent resources to support healthy technology use at home. They will also discuss the book, The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt which has been a conversation topic for Prospect Lake teachers in our current professional book club.
We are excited to welcome Registered Clinical Counsellor, Shannon Husk, who will be presenting for an hour on the “Impact of Entertainment Media on Today’s Society.” Shannon has presented to many schools in Victoria and has a wealth of knowledge on supporting healthy technology choices and balance.
